The Neenah Public Library will offer free 8-week group ukulele classes for beginning ukulele players and for those who need a refresher with playing chords, strumming, and picking. Taught by musician and native Hawaiian, Sam ‘Ālika Bader. All ages are welcome.

Classes begin on Thursday, September 27, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Library’s Storytime Room. Note: Classes will be held based on the instructor’s availability. When classes aren’t held, the open jam will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Bring your own ukulele or reserve one of the Library’s ukuleles. An extra loaner ukulele is also available for use during classes. For more information, contact the Neenah Public Library Adult Services Department at 920-886-6315.

A ukulele open jam follows each Thursday night class. Open to anyone interested in playing with other ukulele players. Bring your own ukulele – banjoleles and guitars welcome, too (and whatever else you’d like to play). Music provided – or bring a piece you’d like to share with others. The open jams are held from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Uke on, Neenah!
