“The Best Day Ever” benefit concert tribute to his legacy!
A true zest for life, knowing that each day was a gift, Dan could often be heard saying, “today is the best day ever.” The city’s beloved “music man” and previous owner of Mike’s Music and Sound, Dan Gilgenbach passed away in 2019 from complications of cancer and will be celebrated July 31, 2021 at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts for a concert tribute hosted by Dan’s family with one of Dan’s favorite bands: The Jimmys.
THE JIMMYS music combines the seasoned keyboard and Hammond B-3 organ talents of Jimmy Voegeli, the legendary blues guitarist Perry Weber on six-strings and vocals, drummer Chris Sandoval – veteran of the Tommy Castro band, the expertise of southern Wisconsin’s finest bass guitar, and rounded out by an amazing horn section!
