Programs Knee-High Naturalists 9:00 – 10:30 AM Everything Grows: Tuesday, June 20 – Friday, June 23 In order for plants and animals to get big, they must start as a seed, egg or baby. Then they all need food, water and a home to thrive. Let’s learn how all living things grow!
Nature Rangers 9:00 – 11:00 AM Nature’s Mysteries: Tuesday, June 27 – Friday, June 30 A lot happens in the natural world that we are not around to see. Fortunately, clues are left behind for us to examine. We’ll use our eyes and ears, as well as a variety of tools, to inspect the evidence and solve nature’s mysteries.
Outdoor Library: Tuesday, July 11 – Friday, July 14 Reading is fun in our outdoor library! Join us for story time under the trees as we explore the illustrations and writing styles of different nature authors. Then we’ll discover the story in real life with hands-on crafts, games and exploration. Eco-Explorers 9:00 AM – Noon Let’s Ponder: Tuesday, July 18 – Friday, July 21 What kinds of animals live in the ponds at Mosquito Hill and what are the strategies they use to survive? We’ll take a hands-on look at this watery community to discover a variety of critters including insects, frogs, beavers and more. One With Nature: Tuesday, July 25 – Friday, July 28 Let’s explore how we’re all connected to nature. This week we’ll learn about environmentalist Aldo Leopold, his love for the land and how everything in the natural world works together. We’ll have fun exploring food webs, habitats, and all the cycles that make the world spin.
