A four-show production of Irish Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney’s version of the celebrated classic “Antigone” opens Lawrence University Theatre Arts’ 2017-18 season. Based on Sophocles’ 5th-century BCE tragedy, “Burial at Thebes” examines the conflicts between individual freedom and the imposition of restrictions by the state, as well as limits of divine law and civil law.
