The first half of LUPE’s fall concert features contemporary percussion chamber works from Mexico, Korea, and the United States, including an homage to the late great American composer Lou Harrison on the 100th anniversary of his birth. The second half program features Afro-Brazilian Candomblé and Afro-Colombian musical genres, including Cumbia, Bullerengue and Currulao. Free and open to the public.
