Praised by Opera News as “the Anonymous 4 of new music,” Quince Ensemble focuses on contemporary classical music, with specialty in experimental repertoire. Featuring sopranos Amanda DeBoer Bartlett, Elizabeth Pearse, Carrie Henneman Shaw, a 2000 Lawrence graduate, and mezzo-soprano Kayleigh Butcher, Quince Ensemble has performed extensively throughout the United States and regularly commissions new music works by 20th and 21st-century composers. They’ve released three albums, including 2017’s “Hushers,” which received the Critic’s Choice award from Opera News. Free and open to the public.
