Saturday, October 19th at 6:00 pm
Before you attend the Fox Cities PAC’s event Joshua Kane Performs Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Terror, learn more about the infamous Poe! This event will be perfect for anyone who wants to know more about Poe or those who just enjoy a thrilling tale.
Who was Edgar Allan Poe? Why do his fictions still thrill us? How does horror creep into readers?
Join UW-Madison English Professor Monique Allewaert, an expert in American literature to learn more.
To indulge in a shiver of horror before the event, read “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Fall of the House of Usher” before the lecture. Find links to the stories on the event listing on our website, or pick up copies at the Reference Desk on the 2nd Floor.
This is an after-hours event. Doors will open at 5:45 pm.
