Dollar a Day Boys: A Musical Tribute to the Civilian Conservation Corps
Tuesday, June 25th at 6:30 p.m.
The Civilian Conservation Corps was a federal works program created by President Franklin Roosevelt in the heart of The Great Depression. During its nine-year run beginning in 1933, ninety-two thousand young men worked in Wisconsin camps.
Upper Peninsula based singer/storyteller Bill Jamerson will present a music and storytelling program about the Civilian Conservation Corps at the Neenah Public Library on Tuesday, June 25, at 6:30 pm. Jamerson will share stories about the CCC he has collected for 30 years, show a clip from his PBS film, read excerpts from his novel, and sing original songs with his guitar.
