Discovering the Wisdom of Rocks
Don’t miss this special presentation by Lawrence University professor and acclaimed geologist Marcia Bjornerud at the Neenah Public Library Wednesday, December 11th 7:00pm. In this all-ages program, Bjornerud will read from and discuss her latest book (as seen in the New Yorker), “Turning to Stone: Discovering the Subtle Wisdom of Rocks.” The book, part memoir, part geological history, describes Bjornerud’s journey from growing up in rural Wisconsin to becoming a revered geologist. Stick around for a question-and-answer session. Attendees are also allowed to bring up to 2 rocks that Marcia Bjornerud will identify! No reservation necessary.
