Please join the YWCA and providers of supportive services to victims of sexual and domestic violence for a community forum. We will host a community based facilitated discussion engaging the implications of the Cosby verdict and providing a platform for victims in our community to be offered referrals that will lead to the support they have craved after many years of silence. During this event, we will provide affirmations and share information on the available resources while connecting providers in solidarity.
Experts from the field of victim services and research on abuse will be on hand to answer questions and provide needed referrals for processing victimization and securing practical steps to start the healing journey. Evidence suggests if you heal one woman you can heal a whole family, if you heal one family you can heal a whole community, if you heal one community you can heal a whole state, and so does the work of healing our land go. Now is the time, victims’ experiences matter and their voices can be heard and believed in a safe space.
