Event Calendar

For its Christmas shows, BBR fills the evenings with standard Christmas and holiday tunes performed in a modern big band style. The band also covers some vintage holiday charts by Kenton, Ellington, and Basie, and the night will include solo features that will spotlight some members of the band. And, of course, like in years past, there will be some creative arrangements of tunes with a “Christmas themed” title that are not considered holiday repertoire. BBR co-leader Ken Skitch always finds a way to weave some connection into them in a humorous way.
