Adult Afternoon Program: A World Apart: Molokai’s Leprosy Colony
Join us at the Neenah Public Library on Monday, March 3rd at 2:00 pm for a program presented by Karen Dallman. Dallman will discuss Molokai’s leper colony, founded in the 19th century in Molokai, Hawaii; it continues to operate to this day. This program will examine the geology of Molokai, the medical condition known as Hansen’s Disease, how the colony (the “place apart”) came to be and the heroes who worked to improve the lives of the exiled.
The hour-long program will take place on the first floor Shattuck Community Room at the Neenah Public Library. All interested individuals are welcome to attend this free event.

Everyone is welcome. If accommodations are needed to attend, please contact the library administrative office at 920-886-6315 or by email at [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance of the program.
This program was made possible by the Friends of the Neenah Public Library and the Neenah Public Library Trust Fund. Donations are always accepted and appreciated.
