Worth the Drive: Sheboygan

Three Great Stays

Blue Harbor Resort

Sheboygan’s Blue Harbor Resort & Spa boasts more public access, resort-side beach than anywhere else on Wisconsin’s Lake Michigan shores. Any of the 180 guest rooms or 64 villas are perfect for your next getaway. Play with the family at Breaker Bay, Blue Harbor’s year-round 54,000-square-foot indoor waterpark. Make sure to test your surf skills on “the Riptide,” a double surf simulator. After all that excitement, wind down and relax at Reflections Spa with a massage, facial or manicure.

Castino Lakeview Mansion

This historic Reiss mansion sits on a bluff 50 feet above Lake Michigan and just steps away from a large public beach. The home was built in 1912 by coal and oil magnate JP Reiss. The mansion sleeps up to 25 guests, has nine bathrooms, 11 fireplaces, an outdoor gas grill and a tavern/game room.

Sheboygan Surf House

Located above EOS Surf Shop, this recently renovated studio apartment is a great option if you want to be in the heart of downtown Sheboygan within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Owner Mike Miller says that the space is small, but efficient, perfect for couples and individuals seeking the best surf breaks in Wisconsin which are mere steps from the apartment. The space provides a front row seat to the Sheboygan Great Lakes scene.
