Lodging

Four Great Stays

The Lighthouse Inn
For those who want to be as close as possible to the serene waters of Lake Michigan during the course of their trip, there’s no better lodging option than The Lighthouse Inn in Two Rivers. The rooms, lounge areas and on-site restaurant Water’s Edge go all-in with the nautical theme in celebration of the lake. Guests can choose between seven room types across a range of price and accommodation needs.

Dead by Dawn Dead and Breakfast
Dead by Dawn is a full-service “Dead and Breakfast” devoted to scaring the daylights out of guests, and it’s not for the faint of heart. This year-round destination is perfect for Halloween enthusiasts, horror movie aficionados and lovers of the macabre, and during the overnight stay, guests can be assured not to get a good night’s sleep. The activities start with an evening “Unhappy Hour” to set the spooky atmosphere, leading to the frightening main event at midnight in one of three themed guest rooms which play on common phobias such as clowns. Guests must be 21 or older.

The Schwartz House
The Schwartz house is on the pricier side for lodging, but for the chance to stay in a luxurious dream house designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright most can’t afford, it’s definitely a bucket-list stay. Wright was a glasswork magician and a master of asymmetry, and this is apparent at the Schwartz, with its massive glass windows that create a spacious feeling that seamlessly blend inside with outside, as well as erratically stacked second floors and raised ceilings that create a beautifully chaotic aesthetic. The 3,000-square foot house in Two Rivers accommodates up to eight guests from two days to two weeks.

The Westport Bed and Breakfast
Conveniently placed in Manitowoc’s scenic downtown area, the Westport puts you in the center of the action and makes getting to the landmarks convenient. Plus, the atmosphere is unforgettable. Choose between one of four rooms, each having a slightly different take on vintage Victorian scenery and, depending on the room, you could enjoy a gas fireplace and/or a whirlpool.. Also included is a complimentary four-course candlelit breakfast.
