Variety focus of Weidner Center season

Exciting performances are right around the corner at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Weidner Center.

Kicking off this October and running through next spring, the Weidner Center will feature a wide array of performances, from Broadway productions to comedies with a few musical icons thrown in the mix as well.

095-Weidner-joseph“A lot of careful planning goes into each season,” says Diane Nagy, director of marketing for the Weidner Center. “‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ is a fan favorite and has been requested for a return visit many times. We are so excited to bring this tour to the area.

While fan favorites and classics will be in abundance, variety is something the Weidner Center is happy to announce they will feature this upcoming season as well.

“The variety of genres offered this season, including theatrical performances, comedy, concerts, musicals and more, engages a wide scope of talents and interests,” says Kate Green, executive director of the Weidner Center. “Thanks to the continued input from our patrons and members of the community, we’ve developed another fantastic season of performances that we’re delighted to share.”

For those searching for a more current flavor of entertainment, the Weidner Center has you covered, too. A cappella music will be featured in “Vocalosity,” an all-new live concert event from artistic producer Deke Sharon of “Pitch Perfect” and NBC’s “The Sing-Off.”
