Spring is in the air! Jeff Vaughan may have been looking for birds to capture with his lens at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary, but he stumbled upon something even better.

“I saw these girls laughing and playing with their coats tied around their waists,” he remembers. “It was so nice to see them out enjoying nature with each other on this warm spring day. It was a picture of pure childhood joy.
“I can still hear their laughter as they jumped from post to post.”
