“Crackling of the Fire”

On a clear evening in Gresham with a calm lake in the background, Patrick Rothe simply heard crickets and the crackling of the fire that spurred him to capture an image to remember such serenity. “There is just a lot going on in the world right now and sometimes something as simple as a clear sky and a campfire can completely change someone’s mindset,” he says. “If we all just took a second to embrace what God has given us right here, we can find a sliver of peace.”
