DESCRIPTION:Discover how a new generation of compact\, computerized “smart telescopes” is making astronomy and astrophotography more accessible than ever as we explore the new technology at the Neenah Public Library on October 22\, 2026\, at 6:30 pm.  \nThese instruments can automatically locate\, track\, and photograph galaxies\, nebulae\, star clusters\, and other celestial objects\, even from light-polluted locations.   \nRick Beal\, a member of the Northeast Wisconsin Stargazers (NEWSTAR)\, will explain how smart telescopes work\, demonstrate the kinds of images they can produce\, and discuss their advantages and limitations. Join Library youth staff for a short storytime followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of a local business.   \nTheisen’s Hardware Store is the first stop at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday\, Oct. 14. Enjoy free popcorn\, a reading of “Let’s Go to the Hardware Store” and a tour.
