SUMMARY:Walleye Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Walleye Weekend is a long-standing tradition in the Fond du Lac community\, celebrating 48 years this year. Taking place the second weekend in June\, this weekend is a three day celebration of our community’s culture that was built around a fishing tournament\, now the Mercury National Walleye Tournament. Walleye Weekend offers something for everyone including live music for three days on three stages\, free family fun\, sports tournaments and competitions\, art contests\, and loads of free shows and entertainment\, all at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. The beating heart of this weekend is our community\, from the hundreds of volunteers who come out to serve\, to anyone who comes out to support the event or just have fun. Through these high levels of community engagement\, Walleye Weekend has cemented itself as the official “start of the summer”! \nFind information on all events happening June 12th\, 13th\, and 14th at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac at www.fdlfest.com/walleyeweekend

SUMMARY:David Woods Family Concert
DESCRIPTION:6:00 p.m. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and cash bar\n7:00 p.m. Pre-Concert Talk\n7:30 p.m. Concert \nHalfway through the 13-day Chamber Music Institute\, students and faculty mix and mingle with the Green Lake Festival “family” before a lively and impressive free concert in which they collaborate as equals. \nThis convivial social gathering and concert\, now a cherished annual tradition\, got its start in the late 1990s after former GLFM Director Jeannette Kreston launched what is now known as the Chamber Music Institute. Over the years it has taken place in a barn-turned-performance-space at the Krestons’ home\, on the picturesque green at Ripon College\, at Ripon’s First Congregational Church\, on the lawn of Betsey and Larry Miller’s home\, and at the Rodman Performing Arts Center of Ripon College. \nNo tickets required! Since 2016\, GLFM has offered concerts without direct charge\, instead relying on generous support from grants\, corporations\, sponsors\, individual donors\, and free-will donations at concerts.
