The Place We Call Home

Menasha photographer Christopher Appleby captured this image in early February as the sun was rising one brisk morning. “I had woken up early that day and wanted to get out to see if I could capture the sunrise,” he says. “Downtown Appleton is typically very beautiful and I felt the sunrise would make it that much better.” The photo, taken on the South Oneida Street bridge right over West Water Street, showcases the Fox River Mills apartment building and the historic Appleton flats.
