A Quick Overview: What’s allowed with the Safer at Home order?

– Stay at your home or place of residence, practice social distancing and work from home unless engaging in an essential activity
– Essential activities are allowed; including grocery shopping, laundry, seeking health care, outdoor activities (no playgrounds, maintain a distance of 6ft from others), performing an essential job, and taking care of others
– Essential businesses shall should use technology and avoid meeting in person to the greatest extent possible, including virtual meetings and remote work, and meet Social Distancing Requirements between all individuals on the premises
– All non-essential business operations must cease or operate remotely
– All public and private gatherings of any number of people that are not part of a single household or living unit are prohibited
– Elderly people and those who are vulnerable as a result of underlying health conditions should take additional precautions and remain home as much as possible

Personal Protective Equipment for Healthcare Workers: Both ThedaCare and Ascension are accepting donations for personal protective equipment (PPE). These are the two hospital systems here in Appleton that oversee area healthcare providers.
Supplies being requested for donation:
– Isolation Gowns
– Earloop or Tie Masks
– N95 Respirators
– Hand Sanitizers
– Faceshields
– Surface disinfectants
– Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR)
– Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR)
– Other approved PPE supplies advised by the CDC
