A COVID-19 Update

To friends of FOX CITIES Magazine:

Your health and the health of our community are very important to us.

Based on national, state and local mandates and recommendations for social distancing, schools, businesses, restaurants, retailers and service organizations are currently shut down or are operating with limited hours and services in their efforts to curb the outbreak of COVID-19.

As we prepared the April issue for print, the effects of the virus on ordinary events became daily more evident. Employees are adjusting to remote work schedules while homeschooling their children for the first time. Events have been canceled. Senior living facilities have limited visitation. Neighbors have reached out to neighbors offering meals, child care and grocery store runs to help everyone through this crisis. Life in the Fox Cities has been upended for every single one of us.

Our April issue has traditionally been one of our most popular and well-read issues of the year because it features our annual dining scene update, Food for Thought. With restaurants closed or offering limited services, it became obvious that we had to reimagine our April issue completely. We will be moving our restaurant coverage to the May issue in an effort to help provide visibility and a business boost to our restaurant partners and advertisers once the ban has been lifted.

While there will be no April print edition, throughout the month exclusive content will be published here on foxcitiesmagazine.com, where thousands routinely go in search of community information. Here we will look at how businesses and organizations are responding to the pandemic in innovative ways by focusing on digital communication, live-stream events and e-commerce. Make sure to check out our ever-evolving list of restaurants offering delivery, take out and curbside pickup. We will continue to update the event calendar with postponed and rescheduled event dates. If there is something you want to see, drop us a line and let us know.

Like everywhere in the world, life in the Fox Cities has changed, but it most certainly has not stopped. Please send us updated information on how your business, life and community are responding to COVID-19 so we can share with our readers. Keep talking to us. We will do the same.

Thanks and good health to us all!
