Dine Out. Do Good.

Fox Valley Restaurant Week returns September 19-25 with nearly 20 area restaurants offering price-fixed three-course menus for lunch and dinner. Lunch is offered at $14 and dinner is offered at two price points, $26 or $36.

The weeklong event allows restaurants to showcase their standout dishes as well as experiment with cutting-edge recipes before adding them to the regular rotation. Guests can try new restaurants, as well as old favorites, in a low-cost, low-risk way.

One dollar from each plate served at participating Restaurant Week establishments will benefit Volunteer Fox Cities, a local organization which connects volunteers to community needs in the Fox Cities region through outreach and education. The 26-year-old organization supports more than 100 local nonprofits through volunteer recruitment, training and education.

In 2018, Fox Valley Restaurant Week generated nearly $9,000 to support the general operations of Volunteer Fox Cities in their efforts to promote volunteerism in the region.

Executive Director Susan Vanden Heuvel says Restaurant Week takes the guesswork out of giving back.

“Many companies and individuals are often skeptical on which projects to give to and how to go about doing that,” she says. “Volunteer Fox Cities encompasses all things community engagement, so it supports the work we do in assisting non-profits and our community in the work they are doing.”

New this year is the “text to give” option. If diners wish to contribute beyond the $1 built into their meal price, they may text 920-228-8329 to donate the amount of their choosing.
