Home Pride

AHA t shirt fundraiserAssisting more than 1,000 families each month, the Appleton Housing Authority (AHA) ensures that all who live in our community have an affordable, sanitary and safe place to call home. The AHA is currently hosting a T-shirt and sticker decal fundraiser through their non for profit, Neighborhood Housing Inc, in an effort to raise both money and awareness for the basic needs not being met locally.

“The need is immediate because safe, clean and affordable housing is one of the cornerstones of both productive human lives and a great community,” says Lori Van Handel, marketing and development director at AHA.

The lack of affordable housing is a proliferating problem, and the Fox Valley has not been immune. The “Home Pride” fundraiser, which is ongoing, specifically supports the Senior Basic Needs Fund, The Family Self-Sufficiency Program and the development of additional affordable housing in the community.

Residents can support the “Home Pride” T-shirt and sticker decal fundraiser by purchasing items, with proceeds benefiting low-income families and individuals in need of affordable housing and other basic essentials. The tees and decals are being generously displayed at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton to raise further awareness.

For more information, contact Lori Van Handel at 739-6811 ext. 114.
