Winter Hike/Snowshoe

Every week on Sunday until February 25, 2018

Hike with a naturalist to learn how the living world changes during the cold white season. If we have enough snow, the hike is on snowshoes (provided). Look for signs of animal activity, and learn how some plants and insects adapt. Hike lasts 1-2 hours depending on the weather. Sundays at 1 pm January 7 through Feb. 25, 2018.

Dogsled Demo

Learn about the history of Siberian huskies and the sport of dogsledding. Program is outdoors; snow not necessary. Rides available depending on the dogs and on weight; preference will be given to little people (kids) in order to permit the greatest number of rides. $3 per person, additional $2 for a ride. Tickets go on sale at 9 am; first come, first served.

Celebrate the maple syrup season by tapping a maple tree, collecting sap, and enjoying the taste of pure maple syrup on pancakes. Tapping tours are free, 9:30 am-3 pm; optional pancake breakfast (fundraiser) 9 am-1 pm
