Learn the basics of 4 part acapella harmony! The Fox Valley Chorus is offering the unique opportunity to sample our fun hobby with no obligation. A series of five Tuesday evening classes beginning on November 7th culminates in a performance with the chorus on Saturday, December 9th at 2pm and 7pm.

Featuring dazzling multimedia effects, Mannheim Steamrollers presents an evening of classic Christmas hits! The spirit of the season comes alive with the signature sound of Mannheim Steamroller. The group’s first Christmas album, Mannheim Steamroller Christmas, was released in 1984 and revolutionized the holiday season music category. In addition to being a holiday tradition for many families, the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Tour is one of the longest running tours to date.

Miles Davis’ Birth of the Cool

The 1957 album Birth of the Cool was the result of a creative collaboration between then up-and-coming trumpeter Miles Davis and innovative arranger Gil Evans. Drawing upon the influences of bebop and European impressionism and scored for an unusual instrumental nonet, this recording imagined a new future for jazz. An ensemble of UWGB music faculty and friends will recreate the album live from the restored manuscript. Historian Clif Ganyard will introduce the concert.
