Sweden is closer than you think! The 9th Annual Triathlon will again feature the friendly Swedish communities of the Chisago Lakes Area. Paradise Park offers an eagle eye’s view of the swim course. The Swedish influence abounds throughout the event with participants finishing under the Swedish flag.
AQUA BIKE is NEW in 2016
Aqua Bike will follow the first 2 legs of the Half and finish.
Aqua Bike: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike
DISTANCE
Half: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
Aqua Bike: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike
Sprint: ¼ mile swim, 22 mile bike, 5K run
THE COURSE
Swim Course
The swim is at beautiful Paradise Park in Chisago Lake. Plenty of buoys will be available to rest if needed.
Bike Course
The bike course is new: few rollers, mainly flat. The run goes through charming residential streets with community support and several water stations.
Run Course
Both run courses follow residential roads. Roads are well kept and flat.
Quick bike safety check can be done at the Forest Cycle and Skate tent the morning of the event. Fairview Lakes Health Services will be providing excellent medical coverage for the weekend. We will have massage therapists on hand for the Half Ironman.
Don’t forget about the kids triathlon on Saturday July 23. All participants receive a shirt, food and fun after the event. Awards given to each age. All kids receive a medal.
Awards will be given to the first overall female and male winners of the Half Iron and Sprint.
Awards given to the overall male/female and traditional age divisions.
This event is part of the Aurora BayCare Series which offers additional prizes.
Medals are awarded to the Half finishers.
We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events. Participants receive a dri wick shirt, swim cap, food and fun after the event.
