Free dance lessons precede an evening of Bachata music with Dominican Republic’s JOAN SORIANO!
Joan Soriano infuses steel string bachata with equal parts romance and grit. Bachata is essential to the Dominican culture and draws upon a variety of influences from Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. The Afro-infused rhythm that permeates his music has made him a favorite among dancers.
While Soriano and his band be performing on Saturday, July 8 at 7:30 p.m., the concert will be preceded by a free demonstration of a typical Bachata song and a Bachata dance lesson.
