Historical fact and historical fiction blend together to resurrect the stories of five unknown circus performers who met their fate when an American military train plowed through a circus train outside of Chicago in 1918. Jay Torrence’s Roustabout: The Great Circus Train Wreck! is a cheerful eulogy exploring the nature of performance, self and tragedy.
Please be prepared to read from the script and dress for movement. As the show is about circus people, if you have a special skill we want to see it! If you have questions about auditions please contact the director Jeffery James Frelich at [email protected].
Performance Dates: Nov. 9 – 11 & 16 – 18, 2017
