The Paper Discovery Center announces the opening of a new temporary exhibit, Paper for Water. Through this exhibit, visitors will explore the heartwarming experience of two young girls who learned about the world water crisis, and wanted to make a difference. Giving origami ornaments in exchange for donations, these girls started small but have now raised enough money to fund more than 70 wells, all over the world. This exhibit will demonstrate origami and tell the story of the influence that young people can have in making a difference across the world.  Hear their story, discover clean water facts, and try your hand at origami.
The exhibit will also share the stories of Fox Cities kids who are making a difference in the world. Through volunteering, raising money or awareness, or sharing with those in need, local children are doing great things. Do you know one of them?  Please send an email to Sharon@PaperDiscoveryCenter.org with the child’s name, age, city, and a description of the child’s efforts to make the world a better place. We will contact you if we need a picture. Due to limited space, we may not be able to feature every story in the exhibit. The exhibit will be on display through January 2, 2016.
There will be an opening reception on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 4:30 to 6 pm.  All are welcome.  Light refreshments will be served.
