On Saturday, December 16, downtown Appleton will come alive with holiday hustle and bustle at Holiday Fun Fest, hosted by Appleton Downtown, Inc. Enjoy games, children’s activities, visits with Santa, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, the One Stop Elf Shop and Holiday Handcrafted Gift Market inside the City Center Plaza as a special feature of the indoor farmers market from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

“It’s a great way to get downtown with your family and enjoy the holiday spirit that downtown Appleton has,” says ADI Creative Coordinator Lynn Schemm.

The One Stop Elf Shop, held inside the City Center Plaza, is a place where children can purchase gifts under $10 from downtown establishments. Many downtown businesses offer specials throughout the day. Make sure not to miss the horse-drawn wagon rides starting behind the City Center.

“It brings people downtown to shop for the holiday season, and to shop local,” Schemm says. “It’s a great way to get some handcrafted items as well…to get some unique items for the holidays.”
