Light-Up Night

November 10

Fox Cities Building for the Arts, in partnership with Appleton Downtown, Inc., kicks off the holiday season with family fun and a lighting ceremony at 6pm. Stroll down College Avenue and enjoy decorated storefront windows. Many businesses will be open with special offers and holiday refreshments. Make sure to check out Northeast Wisconsin Arts Association (NEWAA)’s first public welcome event featuring  visual artists, live painters, photographers, spoken word artists, poets, musicians, dancers, and fire & flow performers at Foxley’s Gallery, Appleton Beer Factory and the outdoor Parklet on College Avenue. 4–7pm. Merry-Time Festival of Trees

November 11–December 12

Joyously celebrate the holidays by enjoying dozens of beautifully decorated Christmas trees scattered throughout the galleries of the Door County Maritime Museum. Decorated by local businesses and organizations, each extraordinary tree is adorned with beautiful ornaments and special surprises. Daily, 10am-5pm. Deck the Halls

November 18–December 31

This annual exhibition showcases the historic Sawyer home decorated in its holiday splendor reminiscent of the times. The life-size Christmas Village exhibit windows feature a wonderful display of recreated scenes from favorite classic holiday movies. Tu-Sa, 10am–4:30pm. Su, 1–4:30pm. Christmas at the Pond

December 3

Witness Santa’s arrival to town, take a holiday book walk, make s’mores, listen to holiday caroling, be amazed by the Christmas light display and enjoy cookies and treats. 6-9pm. Memorial Park, Kimberly. 788-7507.

Holiday Hayride

December 8

Take a ride through the beautifully decorated streets of the Menasha Island, visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, view the reindeer and sample hot beverages and cookies! Tickets required. 5-8:30pm. Memorial Building, Menasha. 967-3640.
