What’s Going On? The Weekend Preview (2/14-2/17)

It’s amazing how pleasant temperatures in the teens and 20s feel when you’ve been shivering around zero for more than a month.

True, the warmer temps have brought some snow – and we are all tired of shoveling – but it definitely feels a bit more cheery when your teeth are not chattering the second you step outdoors.

And just in time for the warmup – there are some great opportunities to enjoy the snow this weekend if you really want to get outside.

Friday night, the Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve hosts a moonlight ski and snowshoe hike on its trails. Equipment is available for rental and the trails will also be illuminated by candlelight. The hikes kick off 5 pm.

If a nighttime romp is not your speed, Ledgeview Nature Center in Chilton is hosting a guided snowshoe hikes at 1 pm. The hikes are guided by a naturalist and the fee includes equipment rental.

Still not warm enough for you outside, well, you may have noticed that Wicked is back at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. This is the third time the PAC has hosted Wicked, which tells the story of the relationship between Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West long before Dorothy dropped in.

There are limited tickets for this weekend’s show. For details, check in with the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy this weekend. Check out our constantly updated calendar atwww.foxcitiesevents.com.
