Hidden in Plain Sight

What is it about dogs and photo opportunities that go together so well?

For our the October issue of FOX CITIES Magazine, we challenged area photographers to illustrate the concept of hidden. Then, we asked our readers to tell which of the four photos from “the place we call home” best captured the concept.

Our reader chose Amber Pheifer, of Pheifer Photography in Neenah, as the winner. Something in the dog’s face as it emerges from underneath the blanket just seems to speak to folks.

Pheifer’s image capured 52 percent of the votes cast in our monthly poll. The other three photographers split the remaining votes at 14 percent each. They are: Dawn Lemerond, Portrains by Design, Kaukauna; Katie Ball, Studio 609 Photography, Appleton; and Amy Gaerthofner, Ardent Photography LLC, Neenah.

The theme for “the place we call home” photo poll for November is Indulgence. Be sure to vote!
